As chief editor of the West German working class newspaper Nikolaus Groß has fought for the principles of the catholic social teachings and for political enlightenment in the conflict with National Socialism. Numerous of the newspaper articles, which he published then, can be found in the books which have since appeared about him and his wife.
Apart from the many publications about Blessed Nikolaus Groß there is one book which was written by him personally and which - in its title - reflects the symbolism of the number 7 which is so central to the composition of the homepage. It is entitled "Elisabeth and Nikolaus Groß: Seven around one table". This book was published in November 2002 by his youngest son Bernhard Groß.
